As the founder and independent developer of SKTutors, I designed and launched a fully functional online tutoring platform focused on connecting Saskatchewan students with qualified tutors. I built the website using WordPress with a custom user system that supports account creation, secure login/logout, and role-based access for students, tutors, and administrators. I integrated booking functionality through Simply Schedule Appointments (SSA), and developed a custom student dashboard using WP Data Access to display session history, payment status, and upcoming bookings. I implemented a payment system using Stripe incorporating Stripe webhook integration. I also automated weekly billing emails to parents using Brevo and set up business email infrastructure via Cloudflare. The platform was developed with scalability, usability, and security in mind, and continues to evolve through user feedback, technical enhancements, and continuous UX improvements.

As a personal project, I designed and developed a mock website for a fictional donut shop called TheDeerDonuts, showcasing my front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The website features a clean, modern layout with responsive design for optimal viewing across devices. I focused on creating an engaging user interface that highlights menu items, brand personality, and smooth navigation. Through this project, I demonstrated my ability to build aesthetically pleasing and functional web pages from scratch while practicing key front-end concepts such as layout structure, styling, interactivity, and mobile responsiveness. The project is publicly available on GitHub as a demonstration of my self-taught web development skills and creative design approach.
