Details

The Remora Sensor Suite, developed by LIVESENS Inc., is a modular system designed to collect real-time environmental and movement data from vehicles. The current prototype enclosure needs a redesign to ensure it meets the demands of outdoor deployment. The primary challenge is to create an enclosure that is durable, waterproof, and capable of withstanding various environmental conditions such as rain, dust, vibration, and temperature fluctuations. Additionally, the enclosure must be designed for easy and secure attachment to a variety of vehicle types, including options like rooftop bars, suction mounts, or permanent brackets. The design should also minimize aerodynamic drag and added vehicle height while allowing easy access for maintenance tasks such as camera cleaning and SD card swapping. The project aims to balance robustness, manufacturability, and ease of maintenance, ultimately bringing the updated design from concept to prototyping.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a detailed design of a waterproof (IP65 compliant or better) sensor suite enclosure that ensures protection against environmental factors. A stable, low-profile mounting system for vehicles will be developed, ensuring easy installation and removal. The design will also include features that minimize aerodynamic drag and allow easy access for maintenance. A prototype of the enclosure will be created, demonstrating the feasibility of the design and its compatibility with various vehicle types.

Livesens uses advanced technology to collect and analyze data in real-time. Our system helps businesses and organizations see what's happening right now by providing live reports on things like traffic, weather, or movement patterns through a visual dashboard. This allows our clients to make smarter, faster decisions that improve how they operate and achieve better results. All this is achieved by deploying modular sensor suites mounted atop vehicles.
